Our farms are maintained by a team of professional farm managers who are equipped with over 20 years of accumulated expertise. Cool temperatures all-year-round, ethical treatment from animal specialists that are held to international standards, and industry-leading facilities, ensure that our cows are kept healthy and comfortable.
The very first Greenfields farm is located 1,200 meters above sea level on Malang Highland, Desa Babadan. Here, 9,200 Friesian Holstein milk cows help produce our Greenfields dairy products in fully integrated facilities. On 3 May 2017, we opened our second farm, 172 hectares wide in Wlingi, East Java. Housing up to 9,500 cows this farm alone produces up to 45 million litres of milk annually.
Our Greenfields farms are also strategically located to contribute to the growth and nutrition of nearby crops, where water flows down from our hilltop farms to irrigate the crops located at the foot of the hills that are fed to our cows. This is how we continue to deliver our distinctive Greenfields flavour!
Both of our state-of-the-art farms contain world-class, modern and automated dairy operations in their facilities to produce international standard premium quality milk, without the human touch. This means that Greenfields milk is not just delicious, but clean, hygienic and contains a lower bacteria count too!
Our products are made with milk produced from Greenfields Farms only. Being able to produce our own milk means that we do not have to buy milk from other farms. This allows us to not only produce the highest quality raw milk, but also guarantee that no additives, hormones or antibiotics are added.
Quality milk comes from healthy cows. To guarantee the highest quality milk, we import only the finest quality Friesian Holstein dairy cows from Australia that are bred to international standards.
Pampered with a healthy diet of superior corn kernels, grains, special Alfalfa hay and local king grass containing high protein and fibre, our cows are fed using the Total Mixed Ration feeding technique - that’s four fresh feeds a day. This feed, strictly selected by nutritionists, supplies a well-balanced diet for our cows, which keeps them healthy and most importantly happy; so that they can continue to produce our delicious trademark Greenfields milk.
They too get plenty of exercise from their barn-to-milking parlour walks that happens three times a day.
Beyond that, our cows are also encouraged to rest in ‘beds’ of soft sand that are replenished daily, and treated to hoove manicures twice a year!
